“I had an awesome experience with Amanda Pigman as my personal trainer. I was seeking a female trainer, and she happened to be the only one on staff at the Inner Richmond location. Lucky me! I worked with her over a period of several months. Her kindness, energy, enthusiasm, and light-hearted spirit made our sessions fun, even after a long day at work! Amanda's a stickler for form, which I really appreciated. She was never shy to interrupt our chitchat to correct my movements, ensuring I was engaging my muscles correctly and safely, while also challenging myself and stretching my comfort zone. I've had experiences with other instructors/trainers who were too wrapped up in the chatter to notice my form or how many reps I'd already completed. Amanda pays attention and is direct with her feedback, but is always encouraging and supportive, never barking like a drill sergeant or yelling in your face (I hate that method, nothing will make me shut down faster and want to quit!) Amanda's workouts were creative, effective, and super efficient, making good use of the time we had. Also! She's certified in an amazing bodywork/stretching modality that she would sometimes incorporate into our sessions. I loved those days(!) and it really helped with my mobility and range of motion. The best part is that now that I've 'graduated' from our training sessions, I feel confident to go to the gym on my own and use the machines and weights to replicate the exercises Amanda taught me so I can maintain, and even build on the work we did together. That's the true sign of a great teacher. I can't recommend Amanda enough! Thank you, thank you! :)"

"I've been loving the gym so much more since I started training with Amanda. She's super friendly, knowledgeable, supportive and you can tell she cares about you and your goals. She always checks for proper form, adjusts things when needed, and makes sure I'm not pushing through anything that feels wrong. She's also taught me how to use equipment I used to avoid and always knows when to encourage me to push a little harder. Every session with her leaves me feeling stronger and more confident!
